Are cell phones, laptops. iPods, iPads, etc. conveniences or necessities?
These can be necessities or conveniences. Albert Brock in "The Murderer" makes it seem like they are just conveniences. In many cases, they are; for example, when people are bored on a road trip or need information quickly they can use these devices and get what they "need" within seconds. However, something like a cell phone can be a necessity in certain other cases like an emergency. For example, if you are somewhere and your car breaks down while you are alone, you probably will not know what to do so you can use your cell phone to contact someone. Today's society, however, has become much too engrossed in technological products and practically live off of them. People today probably don't even remember what a lawn looks like without having to Google search it.
Does TV really turn a person's brain to stone?
I think that certain TV can do this, while other TV does not. For example, reality shows have this effect because they are often nonsensical and just plain stupid. There are also educational shows however like on the Science Channel and such that are beneficial and can give you more information to make you just a little bit smarter. So TV can turn a person's brain to stone, it just depends on what a person decides to watch.
Do you think that Ray Bradbury did predict the future?
I think that Bradbury completely called how society would turn out. Today we are obsessed with technology which is how he portrays it in "The Murderer". He was definitely spot on and it is a little weird but it makes sense. I suppose that with new technology comes new obsessions.

The Future
The future is the time that has yet to happen. Anything can happen in the future. The future is forever changing, and is unpredictable. You never know what can happen in two minutes, two days, or even two years.

I personally disagree; I thought that the film had an interesting plot that appeals to a supernatural interest. In the film, Laura learns that her husband dies in a car accident before it actually happens. She must now try to figure out what the heckle is going on.
Sandra Bullock, who plays Laura, is the main character. Her performance was subpar, I suppose; it was 2007 after all. Older films are always worse than ones nowadays. Upon researching different reviews online, I found that most of them are harsh and degrading towards Sandra Bullock. I'm guessing the reviewers just have something against her because the film was not that bad. Maybe they are just jealous because she makes so much more money than them??
Overall, Premonition was a nice little take on psychic capabilities. It was not too long of a movie and is interesting enough so you don't get bored while watching. I'd recommend seeing this if you just feel like watching a random movie, and are not looking for anything specific
